Hototogisu! - a cuckoo cries

In Japan Zen monks and haiku poets have a long tradition in presenting a poem on the verge of death. HOTOTOGISU (a cuckoo cries) is inspired by a last word from this tradition. The poem is written by Chosui. He died in the year 1769.

I Japan har zen munker og haiku poeter en lang tradisjon for å fremsi et dikt som siste ord før døden inntreffer. Teksten som HOTOTOGISU (a cuckoo cries) har hentet sin inspirasjon fra er skrevet av Chosui. Han døde i 1769.
